About Ban Chuan Enterprise

Ban Chuan was founded in the 1950s by Mr Yap Ban Seong (PJK, AMN, KMN) as a grocery store in the town of Bukit Mertajam. In 1983, the company was handed over to 

Mr Yap Ean Sin (PJK, PKT), the Managing Director, after the departure of the late Mr Yap.

In 1995, Ban Chuan Enterprise Sdn Bhd was established and primarily traded in machinery imported from Taiwan. In 2016, Ban Chuan Enterprise relocated to Bukit Tambun to focus mainly on distributing Industrial Petroleum Products such as Diesel, Fuel Oil, Kerosene, and Lubricants, both locally and in Peninsular Malaysia.

Despite its tremendous success, Ban Chuan remains a family-owned and -operated business. Senior Yap and Mr Yap Ean Sin also believe in the social responsibility of the local and international community.

The Yap family has been offering scholarships to students of Jit Sin Independent High School and SMJK Jit Sin High School every year since the late Mr Yap. In addition, Mr Yap also volunteers at international relief organizations such as the Tzu Chi Foundation, an international humanitarian organization, where he is one of the founders of Tzu Chi Malaysia. Mr Yap offers his help locally and internationally, participating in activities such as international relief and aiding people in need.
